Our story
It started in Vienna, in 2017
Artivive was founded by Sergiu Ardelean and Codin Popescu with a straightforward idea: a painting could show more than what fits on the canvas. What if a viewer could hold up their phone and watch the work move, reveal its process, or open into a whole new scene?
At the time, building augmented reality meant hiring developers and writing code. We set out to remove that barrier. With the Artivive Bridge editor, an artist uploads a base image and an overlay, and the connection is live in minutes. No code, no studio, no budget for a tech team.
Nine years on, that same tool is used by creatives in nearly every country on earth, from independent illustrators to some of the world's most visited museums.
