The Brooklyn based artist and curator Julie Gratz uses Artivive to bring her digital artwork into a physical and intimate space. As both a painter and animator, Augmented Reality enables her to combine all of her artistic passions into one medium. Animation rarely has a place in gallery shows, but Augmented Reality technology is truly opening the door to endless possibilities for multi-disciplinary artists. Does physical presence play a role in the perception of digital art? What happens to animation when it becomes something you can interact with?
