Have you given yourself a chance to stop and think about the importance of sharing in our lives?
The German Catholic Convention (Katholikentag) invites us to reflect on that. As part of the 102nd Catholic Day in Stuttgart, Germany, on May 29, 2022, the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart is looking for creative minds to join this open call.
This call is for artists all over the world. Creators should be able to submit concepts around the topic of “Sharing Life” for up to three of the personas listed below. The authors must indicate their preference, as they will only work with one of them.With 60k visitors in the last edition at Münster, Germany, this renowned event will host several thousand participants from all ages throughout Germany and worldwide in a vibrant and alive exchange of ideas, prayers, and celebrations.Do not miss out on the opportunity to be part of this program, which brings together everyone in a cheerful atmosphere to experience collective belief, shape the future, and regain one’s strength.
REQUIREMENTS
- Artists must submit an animated artwork created with the Artivive augmented reality interface.
- The artwork must be sent in an A2 format (42.0 x 59.4 cm) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi.
- Group submissions by multiple artists or art collectives are also permitted.
- Artists are allowed to submit either a single artwork or several artworks focused on one concept.
- This competition is open to everyone 18 years of age or older on the starting date.
SUBMISSION PROCESS
- Register for a free account on Artivive.
- Create your animated artwork using ‘Bridge,’ our creative tool. Do not forget to fill out the “ARTWORK INFO” section (max. 250 characters).
- Use the form provided below to submit a trigger image of your AR artwork and a written concept (max. 500 characters) for reviewing purposes.
- Submissions are allowed in English, French, or German (both for the artwork and the written concept).

REQUIREMENTS

- Group submissions by multiple artists or collectives are not permitted.
- Artists can submit up to three concepts.
SUBMISSION PROCESS

- Use the form provided below to submit your written description (around 100 words per concept) explaining the idea behind it.
- You can send your proposal in DOC or PDF format or, if needed, attach a ZIP file.
- Remember that you will be requested to apply augmented reality to your final concept if you are selected.
SELECTION
- The final selection will be conducted by the Diocese of Rottenburg-Stuttgart, based on the experience and aesthetic of the applicants’ proposals.
- Once selected, the artists will bring to life their submitted concept into augmented reality.
- The selected artists will receive a prize of 800 €.
